A new animation festival, Scratch! (Lecce, Italy) has now published its call for entries.

According to its mission statement, its ingredients are: "
½ kg of animated shorts, 2 or 3 professionals of the field in the jury, 1 workshop, 250 g of regional funds, 3 good friends and film lovers and a hint of creativity.


Preparation:
mix everything in the pan of a city of art and make it simmer for a few months.
In late June, the end result will be Scratch! a European animated film festival."

Scratch! festival has been funded by the Regional project 'Principi Attivi' 2010, and includes 3 days of screenings (22-24 June) open to the public.

its international competitive sections are:

1) traditional animation, 2D digital, mixed media and stop motion


2) 3D and Visual Effects

3) Music Videos

No submission fees. Deadline for submissions: 31 May 2012.

And this year it is going be even better. The shows will be broadcasted in an amazing venue of the city centre.
