Sony Pictures Animation unleashed a new rocky trailer for the September 2012 feature film, Hotel Transylvania.

Hotel Transylvania is a 3D computer-animated stereoscopic horror comedy by Sony Pictures Animation (responsible for The Pirates! Band of Misfits).

Dracula (voiced by Adam Sandler), owner of Hotel Transylvania, a five-star resort for the world's monsters, invites some of the most famous monsters to celebrate his daughter Mavis' 118th birthday. Unexpectedly visited by Jonathan (voiced by Andy Samberg), an ordinary young traveler, Dracula must protect Mavis (voiced by Selena Gomez) from falling in love with him before it's too late.

The trailer shares a Rocky Horror Picture Show feel, especially in its glamorous settings, colors and character build-up (look at Jonathans' hair).

In contrast, the plot and the one-liners seem more mundane here, yet there is  time for doubt as well.

The Russian-born animator Genndy Borisovich Tartakovsky (dir. Star Wars: Clone Wars) directs the film.

Hotel Transylvania is released in 28 September 2012 (US), whereas UK (12 Oct.) and France release (17 Oct.) follow shortly.
