|Animated Com Award, Stuttgart: Nominees selected|

The 20th edition of the Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film (ITFS, April 23-28, 2013) has revealed its nominees for the Animated Com Award, the best applied animation in the fields of advertising, spatial communication and technology.
10 nominees were selected for this year's contest out of 120 submissions.
The selection shows the diversity of applied animation. The range includes spots for Red Bull showing Felix Baumgartner's phenomenal jump into the stratosphere, the science fiction computer game Mass Effect 3 – Take Earth Back and the trailers for the Olympic Games in London, the European MTV Music Awards and the Pictoplasma Festival. It also includes new and innovative concepts in the field of spatial communication, such as the Swiss Pavillion at the World Exhibition 2012 in Yeousu in South Korea.
This year the Daimler AG, U.I. Lapp GmbH, Mackevision Medien Design GmbH, the Art Directors Club Deutschland (ADC), the Virtual Dimension Center, Silkroad, Ilg Außenwerbung GmbH, ZDF Werbefernsehen GmbH, jazzopen Stuttgart, netzwerk P Produktion GmbH and the Animation Media Cluster Region Stuttgart are the partners of the Animated Com Award.
The Animated Com Award is endowed with prize money of about 18,000 euros in total, and the award ceremony will take place on April 26, 2013 in the Mercedes-Benz Museum.
The 2013 Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film takes place from 23-28 April.
