Melbourne International Animation Festival 2014: Call for entries
Wednesday, 11 December 2013 21:45

MIAF 2014 is launching call for submissions.

The Melbourne International Animation Festival (MIAF) will take place from 19 June to 29 June 2014 in Melbourne, Australia.

It usually screens around 400-450 films each year in competitive, panorama, student, curated and retrospective programs.

MIAF generates a smaller touring festival called the Australian International Animation Festival (AIAF), is a submissions base for the London International Animation Festival, the New Zealand Film Festival and Animation Revelations (at Auckland University of Technology) and assists in programming a number of other festivals in Australia, Taiwan, South Korea and the USA.

When submitting the film to MIAF, the film is automatically considered for each of these festivals although these other events will send to the submittors a separate and specific invitation if they wish to invite their film.

The films that have been completed after 1 January 2012 are considered eligible for MIAF14.

The entry must arrive in a format that can be viewed by pre-selectors and the jury members.

The submission deadline is 17 January 2014.

If you are interested, read the festival's regulations and fill in the application form for the international and Australian submissions or for the school submissions.
