Animasyros Openhouse, Athens 17/12

A day-full animation program includes the best films awarded in Animasyros 4.0, opening with My mother's coat by Marie-Margaux Tsakiri-Scanatovits (director present), a semi-autobiographical story about her Italian mother and her life in Greece.

The innovative pixillation film Luminaris by the Argentinian Juan Pablo Zaramella will also be shown, as well as  the German 2D/3D animated film Das Haus (David Buob).

The Annecy-selected The Village (Stelios Polychronakis) is among the films shown, as well as the playful Mariza (K. Krystallis). The making-of Animasyros 4.0 (Ionian University, Corfu team) and the film-outcome of Animasyros educational seminar (supervised by A. Dimitra) will be among the highlights.

An ASIFA-France and ASIFA-Australia programme presents a selection of the best animated films from both countries whereas student selections (by AKTO design school, Athens) and school animated projects (completed at Animasyros 4.0 by Christina Depian) fill the program.

A Skype-connection with Jim Capobianco (writer in Ratatouille) features in the Animasyros Openhouse menu, and a party follows soon after. Visit the official Facebook page, and Animasyros website
