Festival Description:
Animatou is a festival dedicated to bringing the best of Swiss and international animation to spectators of all ages and promoting an awareness of art films rarely screened in commercial cinemas.
2022 Call for Entries
All short animated films officially released from January 2021 to May 2022 are eligible for the competitive programmes.
The selected films compete in one or more of the following international sections and for the following awards:
- International Competition, Animatou Main Award: CHF 3,000
- International Competition for Animated Short Documentaries, «Doc'Anim» Award: CHF 1,000
- International Competition for Animated Experimental Shorts, Centre d'Art Contemporain Genève «Labo» Award: CHF 1,000
- International Competition for Young Audience: CHF 1,000
- Caramel & Pistachio Competitions for Toddlers: CHF 500.-
- 5 Swiss Schools Competitions Honorary Awards
- Artopie Honorary Award.
