Festival Description:
The Athens International Children’s Film Festival aims to support and promote creative film production for children, teenagers and their families around the world. The festival promises to entertain and move young audiences, offering a rich, interesting and fun screening programme.
Traditionally a winter event, it offers two diverse programmes, one dedicated to families and one to schools, comprised of short and feature films and documentaries, either animated or live action, which broaden the horizons of young viewers and provide an understanding of other cultures, as well as a valuable exposure to filmmaking techniques, surprising ideas and worthy voices.
It takes place annually at the beginning of winter over the course of a 3-day weekend, during which we invite families to explore the world without needing to leave Athens.
