(Re)animacija Festival

Festival Description: As part of the Nikšić 2030 – European Capital of Culture project and the (RE)ANIMACIJA – Festival of European Animated Film and Illustration, an international thematic competition for illustration and animation titled HUMAN has been officially announced.

Call for Entries 2026 (Archive):

• The competition is open to artists from around the world and welcomes works created in all techniques.
• The use of artificial intelligence in the production of submitted works is strictly prohibited. 
• Applicants may submit: 
  up to two illustrations, prepared for print in A3 format 
  up to two short animations, with a maximum duration of 30 seconds 

Awards:

• Best Illustration (€1,000)
• Best Animation (€1,000)

Submission process: 

Either as email attachments or via platforms that provide permanent access and allow file downloads (such as Google Drive). Links with limited availability or without download options will not be considered. 
The application email must include the following information: 

• title of the work
• technique
• year of production
• author’s full name
• country of origin
• one sentence containing the most relevant biographical information about the author 

The subject line of the email should be: 
HUMAN_FirstName_LastName
