KAFF intends to deliver the greatest part of Hungarian and international animated film production of the last two years. In addition to the competition programs, the festival will feature theme-related screenings, retrospective selections, professional conferences, and masterclasses as well as workshops and exhibitions

2025 Call for Entries
The 17th Kecskemét Animation Film Festival is now open for submissions.
The competition programme of the festival accepts Hungarian and European animated works completed after 1 March 2023, without thematic restrictions. The European competition accepts films that have at least 50% European ownership.
Competition for European works is open to three categories:
× feature film (min. running time 40 minutes)
× TV special (min. running time 20 minutes)
× television series (max. 2 episodes per series)
The Hungarian competition accepts works that were made in Hungary, or by a Hungarian director. Hungarian films compete in six categories: Feature Film, TV Special, Short Film, TV Series, Applied Animation (commercial, signal, trailer, main title, music video) and Student Film.
