I have always admired a female character who practices bokator, a Khmer martial art. Though the stage in film is very limited as it is a teaser, I wanted to show an alternation of double-sided, ambivalent concepts: being active and being powerless; an organic matter and inorganic matter; and the finiteness and infiniteness of time. The 21st BIAF is held 18-22 October at Bucheon City, South Korea. BIAF is an Academy Award® Qualifying Festival. BIAF Grand Prize will be eligible for consideration in the Animated Short Film category of the Academy Award®.
NEW CATEGORY VR: Bucheon Intl Animation Festival (BIAF2019) launches VR Animation Competition for the first time as part of International Competition. All VR/360/interactive films completed after 1 January 2017 are eligible to apply. 1 given the Jury Prize (2,000,000KRW). All VR works due by end of July 2019

1) Animated films must have been completed after January 2018 and must not have been submitted to previous BIAF. Preferable at least Korean Premiere
2) The official languages of BIAF are English. Non-English language films must be subtitled in English by applicants themselves
3) The selected applicants must send the presentation copy for screenings by September 19, 2019
