Fredrikstad Animation Festival Moves Dates to October 2018

The festival board of Norsk Animasjonsforum has made a decision to change the dates for Fredrikstad Animation Festival, and has decided to move it to the end of October.

The changes are due to changes in the schedule of Norwegian film festivals, where several other film festivals in Norway have been changing their dates recently. Changes in the international scene and campaigns have also made an impact on the decision to change the dates of the Nordic region’s animation festival - Anders Narverud Moen, Festival director

The move of the festival will also affect the pre-selection processes and the submission dates. Submissions will now open at May 1st, with new deadline being June 1st.

The 2018 the festival will be held from the 25th to the 28th of October 2018. The 2017 edition of Fredrikstad Animation Festival honored The Burden by Niki Lindroth von Bahr with its Golden Gunnar (Grand Prix), while Nothing Matters by Uri and Michelle Kranot took home the Honorable Mention.
