"Pirates!" is due for release in cinemas on the 28 March 2012 in the U.K., Benelux and France and 27 April in the United States. It is co-directed by Jeff Newitt and co-produced with Sony Pictures Animation.

Acclaimed French director Patrice Leconte ("Ridicule", "Tandem") comes back to Cartoon Movie to show twenty minutes of his first animated feature, The Suicide Shop (read more about the film here)  Using an original 2D stereoscopic technique, close to pop-up books, the film will hit French screens on the 16 May 2012.
