The inaugural OFFline Animation Residency is open for applications.

A 6 month Animation Residency will kick off in May 2018. Funded by The Trench Trust and Offaly County Council, the OFFline Film Festival Animation Residency will be an annual opportunity for Irish and International Animators to create and showcase their work to an audience of filmmakers and film fans.

The residency is open to 2 separate animators (who may end up collaborating) or a pair of animators who wish to use the Residency to collaborate on a project. The recipients of this inaugural residency will get to live and work in the town of Birr, Ireland, with a vibrant arts community and the benefit of super-high speed broadband.

As well as being given the chance to showcase their work at the 2018 OFFline Film Festival, the animators will receive ongoing mentoring and post-production from award-winning digital studio Piranha Bar. The recipients will be provided with accommodation, a stipend and studio space with industry standard equipment. You will also be introduced to local enterprise resources should you wish to start your own studio once the Residency finishes up.

Applications will close on Friday 30th March 2018 at 13:00.

Please complete the form to apply for the Residency here.
