Animateka, 2-8 December 2013, Ljubljana: Opening Premiere and Selection Results

The 10thedition of Animateka will take place from 2-8 December 2013 in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
37 short films are included in the international competition programme (which celebrates films from Central and Eastern Europe). The stop-motion Films by Špela Čadež and Simone Massi, Animo resistente, and Pandy / Pandas, as well as Matúš Vizár's Pandy/Pandas, are among the selections.
The opening premiere for the Animateka festival will be Patrice Leconte's dark comedy The Suicide Shop.
The animated feature A Liar's Autobiography (based on Monty Python's Graham Chapman's fake autobiography) is also part of the non-competitive programme of Animateka Festival.
Michaela Mertová and Bára Příkaská present a two-tier programme on Czech animation (before and after 1989). A Cartoon D'Or special programme is also scheduled, as well as contributions from Anibar festival, partner festival Primanima, and Middlesex University Animation School.
