Michaela Pavlátová goes to Cannes by Tram

tramMichaela Pavlátová is known for her erotic and humorous touch on the perennial matters of human relationships. Her 1991 film Words, words, words was Oscar-nominated, whereas her most recent film, The Carnival of Animals (2006) was a success in various animation festivals.

Tram is her new, 8-minute film. It is a French production in association with Sacrebleu productions.

As every morning, men get on the tram to go to work. But on that day, to the rhythm of the tickets inserted in the ticket-stamping machine, the vehicle gets erotic and the conductress' desire turns the reality into a surrealistic and phallic fantasy.

Tram has been selected to compete in the Directors' Fortnight at Cannes 2012
