Festival Description

Finland's oldest purely animation-based festival seeks to bring animated short films and animation art into the public eye and to introduce a host of diverse, thematically versatile films from all over the world. Animatricks International Animation Festival serves both as a venue for presenting films and as a meeting place for filmmakers and animation enthusiasts. Our repertoire features retrospectives by Finnish filmmakers, theme screenings, feature films, children's films, workshops as well as competitions. Animatricks Film Festival is arranged by Finland's umbrella organisation for animators, Finnish Animation Guild.

Animatricks Animation Festival Call for Entries 

Categories:

• International Competition

Eligibility criteria:

• Films should not exceed the length of 30 minutes (including opening and final credits).
• Films must have been completed after the 1st of January 2024.
• A minimum of 50% of the film duration must be animation.

• Best Nordic & Baltic Film
• Best Student Film
• Best Junior Film
• Audience Award

Other categories might be awarded, depending on the final program.
