Festival Description

This is a dynamic festival, aimed at the latest technologies and towards a public immersed in the digital arts, multimedia, illustration and film animation. Making best use of its online platform, BANG can reach all users and be watched on any screen anywhere in the world. In our last edition, we consolidated Bang Awards Festival as a reference event on the international circuit. From the first, our main objective has been clear: to create a privileged access to inter-film dialogue, as well as between creators and the public.

2026 Call for Entries

Theme: The 2026 edition is held under the theme “Youmanization”, inviting artists to reflect on the urgent need to re-humanize the contemporary world — our cities, technologies, relationships and the future itself. The festival challenges filmmakers and animators to explore visual narratives that place the human experience at the center of creation.
Disney director John Musker (The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Moana) will join the festival’s international jury.

Conditions of entry:

  • Entries may be submitted in one of two categories: ONLINE or OFFLINE.

  • Entries submitted and accepted in the OFFLINE category will only be exhibited at the Festival and will neither be shown nor exhibited on the website. Entries made in the OFFLINE category will not be eligible for the Online Prize.

  • Entries submitted and accepted in the ONLINE category will be exhibited at the Festival and on the website.

  • All entries, regardless of their category, will be in competition with each other.

  • The current edition of the Bang Awards Festival has chosen "YOUMANIZATION" as its inspirational theme.
Use of or reference to the Festival theme is not obligatory, but rather meant to serve as inspiration to prospective entrants. It does not limit or interfere with the Participants' entry or competition submission of films that do not relate to this theme.

  • Participants may enter as individuals or as part of a group.

  • Participants should send original work, authored by them, created since 2023.

  • Participants must be 18 years of age or older. If not, their entries will be disqualified.

Specifications for entries:

  • Entries must be inserted in animation video genre (failure to do so will result in disqualification) and presented in digital format.
  • There are no restrictions as to the length of the animation videos.
