Festival Description
The Sommets du cinéma d'animation are an international festival dedicated to animation in all its forms, from heritage films to new media by way of current production. Over five days, Montreal moves to the rhythms of animation! A unique event in Quebec, the festival celebrates an art form that has long brought international recognition to Quebec and to Canada.

- Only films completed after January 1, 2025, are eligible.
- Only first-time entries to the Sommets du cinéma d’animation are accepted. Previous submissions are not eligible.
- Films must be CANADIAN productions or coproductions to be eligible.
- Short films, music videos, short educational films, and ads are eligible.
- Films must be under 30 minutes in length to qualify for one of the competitive sections.
