Interfilm International Script Film Pitch, 10-15 Nov 2020

Festival Description

At the heart of the interforum, the fringe program for professional visitors and film enthusiasts at interfilm Berlin lies the International Script Pitch. For seven years now the program has been inviting the authors of innovative short films to Berlin to work on their screenplays and pitch them in a competition in front of an international jury after an intensive week of workshops and coaching.

2020 Call for Script Projects:

The competition focus is on the pitch as well as the script. The Script Pitch places particular emphasis on the combination of both a captivating script and a convincing delivery in front of the jury
Application to the Script Pitch requires the submission of a treatment and a screenplay of the film which must be sent in upon pre-selection. Please do not apply if your treatment/ script is incomplete.
The script has to be written in English or translated into English upon submission.
All scripts must be for a short fiction film. Only live-action or animation scripts will be considered.
The scripts may not exceed the length of 20 pages

Program
  In addition to the Script Pitch competition all participants are provided with a Script Lab to accompany the competition from 10th until 14th November 2020. Within the practical and stimulating workshop program there will be both a seminar on script development to sharpen the participants’ creative skills and a pitch training to evaluate the live performance of each contestant by industry experts.

Script Pitch participants will be given the opportunity to meet international filmmakers, writers and industry experts at exclusive networking events at the International Short Film Festival interfilm Berlin.

On 14th November 2020 the eight finalists will have 5 minutes to pitch their projects and convince the international jury of their idea.
