TIAF - Tbilisi International Animation Festival 2024
Festival Description:
TIAF- Tbilisi International Animation Festival is an international event, promoting Animation Art and Industry Development Culture throughout the Caucasus region and Internationally. TIAF is an educational and entertaining International event, dedicated to creating awareness of, and appreciation for, animation, video games, and related popular Art Forms, primarily through the presentation of events that celebrate the historic and ongoing contribution of animation art and culture. The festival includes parallel activities: professional and family workshops, animation and game jams, film and music, school programs, the presence of leading figures from the world of Animation, conferences, and other interesting events associated with audiovisual culture for children and young people.
2024 Call for Entries
TIAF – Tbilisi International Animation Festival is held every year in Tbilisi. It is an educational and entertaining International event, dedicated to creating awareness of, and appreciation for, animation, video games, and related popular Art Forms, primarily through the presentation of events that celebrate the historic and ongoing contribution of animation art and culture. Its 6th edition will take place from 15 to 18 June 2024.

Film eligibility:
- Any frame-by-frame or computer-assisted animated film, meeting the following requirements, will be considered eligible for the Festival.
- The film has to be completed after January 1st, 2021.
- The running time of the film must be around/over 60 min for the feature film competition and up to 59 min for the short film competition.
- Three episodes per series (each up to 26 min) are allowed for the TV series competition.

In each competition, there is 1 (one) winner for each award.
In each competition, the honorable mentions can be attributed to more than 1 (one) film.

(1) for feature film competition: 15$ standard - 10$ student (early bird), 25$ standard - 15$ student (regular), 35$ standard - 20$ student (late);
(2) for short film competiton: 7.50$ standard - 5$ student (early bird), 12$ standard - 7.50$ student (regular), 17$ standard - 10$ student (late);
(3) for VR content category: 7.50$ standard - 5$ student (early bird), 12$ standard - 7.50$ student (regular), 17$ standard - 12$ student (late);
(4) for game-related content category: 7.50$ standard - 5$ student (early bird), 10$ standard - 7.50$ student (regular), 17$ standard - 10$ student (late);
(5) for series competition: 12$ standard - 8.5$ student (early bird), 17$ standard - 12.50$ student (regular), 20$ standard - 15$ student (late).
The Festival is organized by the Georgian Animation Laboratory (AnimaLab), an organization promoting Animation Art and Industry Development Culture throughout the Caucasus region and Internationally.
