Check the complete list of animation contenders for the Polish Etiuda & Anima Festival.

The International Film Festival Etiuda&Anima juxtaposes the achievements of students of film and art schools with auteur works by animation film creators. Now in its 28th edition (Krakow, 16-21 November 2021), has selected 55 animation shorts to compete for its Golden, Sliver and Bronze Jabberwocky prize.

We here see the nostalgic 2D animation Comeback by  Latvian Vladimir Leschiov; Joanna QUinn is here with her latest (and awarded at Clermont-Ferrand) Affairs of the Art. Another Latvian director, Edmunds Jansons competes with his latest Guard of Honour, about a soldier facing a non-orderly situation.

Georges Schwizgebel is present with Darwin's Notebook, an animated doc on the famous Beagle trip by Darwin -focusing on the indigenous (and 'cultured') people accompanying the trip, and going back to their own country.

Check also the particular (in both its techniques and directorial treatment) Thorns and Fishbones by Natália Azevedo Andrade
