Don Hertzfeldt, Storm Hits Jacket Win at Sundance
The Oscar-nominated, US animator Don Hertzfeldt (Rejected, It's Such a Beautiful Day) succeeded in getting the Grand Jury Prize for a Short Film at Sundance.
World of Tomorrow (world premiere at the festival) tells the story of a little girl who is taken on a mind-bending tour of the distant future -depicted through the trademark stick figures of Hertzfeldt.
The 13-minute animated short Storm Hits Jacket (Tempête sur anorak) directed by Paul Cabon and produced by Vivement Lundi ! was the recipient of the Short Film Jury Award for Animation.
A storm seizes the French western coast. The nature gets into a panic, things take place, two young scientists are set in the tumult. Espionage, mystic loving and pressing hopes collide enthusiastically and disorder.
The award ceremony (hosted by Tig Notaro) takes place on January 31.
