Velodrool by Sander Joon

 An addicted biker runs out of cigarettes. He joins a race to get more, but has to take help from some peculiar people in the audience to stay in the competition.

Twisting tirelessly the concept of healthy competition, Sander Joon presents a hand-drawn film that holds a distanced look to all its characters, main actor, juries and spectators.

This Colosseum competition, with its winners and many losers, utilizes every possible camera angle to serve a powerful and spellbinding, hands-on experience on the impossibility of being flawless.

 Sander Joon is a graduate of the Estonian Academy of Arts. Velodrool was supervised by Priit Pärn, Olga Pärn, Andres Mänd and Trygve Nielsen.
