Fleak Animation Feature Project

The 3D computer animation feature project Fleak, produced by Anima Vitae (Finland) in co-production with Animoon (Poland), Godo Films (France) and Parka Productions (Denmark) got its Polish production funding from the Polish Film Institute. The decision comes after the the Finnish Film Foundation already supported the project for production, with the two other funding bodies decisions to follow.

Fleak by Jens Møller is a fantasy adventure animation feature about Lauri, a 12-year-old boy who loses his ability to walk, but gains a friendly creature from another dimension – and together they have to save both their worlds from a Shadow monster. Told from a child’s perspective, this powerful story shows how imagination and a kind heart can help overcome resentment - Film Synopsis

The project had been previously (March 2020) awarded by Eurimages Co-production Development Award (and a cash-prize of 20,000€ ) during Cartoon Movie 2020 (Bordeaux, France). The Eurimages jury (Karin Schockweiler -Film Fund Luxembourg – Luxembourg, Julia Müntefering -(Telepool – Germany) and Eric Geay -SND - France). was impressed by the project “Fleak”, a story about resilience with a magic touch and told in a very artistic original way. They particularly appreciated the fresh and new approach dealing with a sensitive and touching topic that can make a difference.
