Miyu Distribution Launches Its YouTube Channel

EGG, High Summer, Clemence’s Afternoon, Mum and Per Tutta la Vita will be the first to inaugurate the video platform. Through this unique and rigorous selection, Miyu Distribution intends to honor plasticity and beauty of the 2D Animation. Each film has been selected several times in French and international film festivals. However, they all shine in different ways through their own singularity, structure and language.

By opening itself to YouTube, Miyu Distribution asserts its will to share the hard work from talented directors who nurture the animated cinematographic legacy. Miyu Distribution wants to broaden the outlook of indie animation by introducing audiences to the diversity of authors and indie animated short films. making publics familiar to the diversity of authors animated short-films. Miyu Distribution wants its films to get a new lease of life after their career in festivals.

To date, we have supported directors to release their films online so that they can raise awareness about their work and earn visibility. Our goal was mainly to reach potential professionals who could hire them afterwards. For us, it is a next phase, to look for new sources of income for our rights holders, to imagine online releases where our films can get spotlight again and reach new audiences that do not necessarily go to festivals.

However, we remain convinced that cinema theaters are still the best place to discover films and we are looking forward to the fading of the current health crisis to gather again to discover films - Luce Grosjean, CEO of Miyu Distribution
