Fest Anča 2015, Slovakia: Call for entries
The 8th International Animation Festival Fest Anča will be held between 24 and 28 June 2015 in Žilina, Slovakia. Its aim is to contribute to the development and promotion of animation and the animated film industry.
Its competitive program includes:
- The international competition of short animated films – Anča Award;
- The international competition of student short animated films – Anča Student Award;
- The international competition of animated music videos – Anča Music Video Award;
- The international competition of animated films for children – Anča Kids’ Award;
- The Slovak competition of animated films – Anča Slovak Award;
- Slovak film distribution competition – Anča D Award.
Among the eligibility criteria, the following are included:
- Only animated films under 30 minutes completed after 1 January 2013 are accepted into the festival’s competition program;
- Only films with a majority of Slovak producers are accepted into the Slovak competition of animated films – Anča Slovak Award.
The competition awards for Fest Anča 2015 are:
- Anča Award (€800 prize);
- Anča Student Award (€400 prize);
- Anča Music Video Award (€400 prize);
- Anča Kids' Award (400€);
- Anča Slovak Award (600€);
- D Award (slovenská distribučná cena).
The festival’s non-competitive program includes focuses, workshops, retrospectives, tributes, exhibitions and discussions.
