ANIMAFILM International Animation Festival

Event Description:

ANIMAFILM - promotes creativity with animation. Since 2018 ANIMAFILM Festival brings together children, young people and families, animation directors and studios to introduce them to international experience, meets them with local and foreign professionals, shows hundreds of animated films, holds master classes, conferences, concerts, performances and exhibitions.

2026 Call For Entries (Archive)

• Must be produced after January 1, 2025.
• Must be animated for at least 50% of their length. There are no restrictions on the animation techniques and themes used in the film.

• Best Short Animated Film (up to 30 minutes) - GRAND PRIX
• Best Short Animated Film for Children (up to 30 minutes)
• Best Azerbaijani Short Animated Film

2018 Festival Coverage:

The theme of the first ANIMAFILM festival is "Azerbaijani Animation". In addition to the national competition, which will select the best Azerbaijani short animation film, the audience is offered a number of events dedicated to the history of Azerbaijani animation. The book "Azerbaijani Animation", joint work of local and foreign authors will be presented for the first time. Within the framework of the festival theme there will be an exhibition "ReAnimation", a retrospective of the best Azerbaijani animated films, with the participation of the authors themselves, as well as master classes of professionals.
