REX Animation Film Festival

Description: 

The festival presents animated shorts and feature films from all over the world and includes a rich program of workshops, talks, Q&A sessions, and competitive and non-competitive film programs. Initiated by Stockholm's European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC) in 2015, the festival grows every year and offers a varied and colourful program of animated short and feature films for both adults and young people.

Film Criteria

-All animation techniques are accepted.
-Animated films of all genres are accepted.
-The film must have been completed after January 1st, 2023.
-Films with dialogue not in English must have English subtitles.
-Entries should not exceed 30 minutes in length.
-Live-action films will not be programmed for the festival. Therefore, it is advised not to submit any non-animated work. However, hybrid productions, such as animated documentaries combining animation and live-action, are encouraged to submit.
