European Animation Awards (Emile Awards) Are Back in 2024
After a long hiatus of 6 years, the European Animation Awards (or Emile Awards), designed to celebrate the diversity in the European animation sector, return and take place in a Greek environment Greece (under the hosting auspices of AnimaSyros Festival).
Both the first and second editions of the European Animation Awards took place in Lille in 2017 and 2018 (check the 2017 winners and 2018 winners). The 2019 and subsequent editions were postponed.
In its new call by an array of esteemed animation professionals (from festival organizers to journalists to producers), The Emile Awards celebrate and honor the talent and achievements in animation from independent animators to animation studios.

An official press conference will be held in June both at the World Festival of Animated Film Animafest Zagreb and the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. Expect more details by then, including the selection procedure, categories etc.
The Emile Awards Ceremony will be held on Monday the 23rd of September 2024, at the historic Apollon Municipal Theatre of Hermoupolis of Syros Island, Greece.
