Wolf Dog Tales: the one that wins is the one you feed
Wolf Dog Tales takes us to the world of the Wolf Dog, who answers some of life's greatest questions through a series of Native American tales of animal wisdom. Its animation technique, "faux sand animation painting" is inspired by Navajo sand paintings - a religious art form of the first inhabitants of New Mexico.
The director, Bernandine Santistevan, reflects on personal experiences from her own rural upbringing in New Mexico.
Igor, an Emmy-award-winning artist, is responsible for the hybrid sand animation and stop-motion technique.
Wolf Dog Tales had its premiere in Annecy 2012, and has won the best animated film award at the 2012 Comic-Con festival.
