For the assignment to make a one-minute film about a child's point of view, Olesya Shchukina describes a situation in which a small girl is lost in a world of high heels
This cut-out short enjoys using worn-out colors to match its feeling of helplessness. This fragmented world of human legs and heels (never to be seen in its entirety) is slick but imposing at the same time. Just like the neighboring gray cat.
The Red Heels (Les talons rouges) is produced by the Valence French school of animation, La Poudrière. Russian animator Olesya Shchukina is currently living and studying in France.
