Laguionie, Dudok de Wit, Zucchini at the Cartoon Tributes Nominees

They may didn't get the Academy Award this year, but they are (rightfully so) nominated in CARTOON MOVIE tributes.

Academy Award nominated directors Claude Barras (My Life as a Zucchini), Oscar winner Michael Dudok de Wit (The Red Turtle) and Cannes-awarded Jean-François Laguionie (Louise en hiver) are the three nominees for the CARTOON MOVIE tributes as European director of the year.

The premier European pitching forum each year awards the best of European animated feature artists. Its tributes fall into three categories,  Director, Distributor and Producer of the Year.

Zucchini producers (Rita productions,Blue Spirit Productions and Gebeka films) are also nominated for the Best Producer award of the year, along with the producers of the new Ethel & Ernest film by Roger Mainwood.

The film is based on Raymond Briggs story and graphic novel about his own parents.
