The Irish David O' Reilly is best known for his Berlinale awarded film, Please Say Something. His new film, The External world, narrates the story of a young boy, who learns to play the piano in a universe of absurdity. It is a series of surreal vignettes that remind with the accuracy (and the daring) of a metronome how accustomed can we be in a lifeless way of living.
The External World has won numerous awards in animation festivals.
