Flipbook Film Festival is an annual cultural event devoted specifically to animated films made by European authors in Skopje, North Macedonia. Its 2026 edition (6-9 August 2026) brings together a number of animation shorts, some of which are already acclaimed (for instance, the Annecy Cristal 'The Night Boots' by Pierre-Luc Granjon), as well as established names and Macedonian authors.

Anna Mantzaris (Please), Jenny Jokela (Dollhouse Elephant), Natalia Mirzoyan (Winter in March) compete in the main competition, which includes 27 animation shorts.

13 animation shorts have been selected for the Anidoc competition. 31 student animation films feature in the corresponding festival competition.

The Animated Music Video Competition features 25 films; the festival completes its competitions with its new BoomBar Young Audience Competition (36 animation shorts). 53 animation shorts feature in its European Panorama.
