Event Description:
Paying homage to the pioneers of European Animation, Emile Reynaud and Emile Cohl, the European Animation Awards Association (EAA) was founded to honor and celebrate the importance and quality of European Animation. Great animated films come from talented authors and skillful artists. Emile Awards 2025 award ceremony will be held on November 16, 2025 in Tallinn during Black Nights Film Festival, PÖFF Shorts
2025 Awards Coverage
The ten awards for feature and short films include Best Script, Best Character Design and Backgrounds, Outstanding Sound Design and Music, and Best Student Film. The films selected as Best of the Best in both categories will also be announced. The award-winning films will be screened following the ceremony.
Along with the 2025 awards, the Emiles also present a Lotte Reiniger Lifetime Achievement Award to an individual who has made great contributions to the world of animation. The winner of the 2025 Lotte Reiniger Award will be honored in November 2025 during the Black Nights Film Festival awards ceremony. Although the identity of the winner will not be revealed until the ceremony, the winner will be present to accept the award.
