Adapting A Story For Animation, 23 February, Washington DC

DC Independent Film Festival will take place from 19 to 23 February 2014 in Washington.

Within its framework, the seminar entitled "Adapting A Story For Animation" is going to take place on 23 February at 17:30 in DC.

This workshop will negotiate different approaches and methods for adapting written literature for animation.

The multi-disciplinary filmmaker and animator Hannes Rall explores the creation of genuinely culture-specific animation styles.

The German animation director, Hannes Rall, has adapted Edgar Allen Poe's The Raven and Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's The Erlking to animation, as well as the work of German writer Wilhelm Hauff and his fairy tale The Cold Heart.

DCIFF will screen his latest film SI LUNCHAI in the Astounding Animation section of the festival.

It is followed by refreshments courtesy of the Embassy of Indonesia in Washington DC. The price for attending the current workshop is $16.00 ($17.55 w/service fee).
