Bucheon International Animation Festival (BIAF) is an Academy AwardⓇ Qualifying International Animation Festival, which includes general competition section, feature films, short films, graduation films, Korean short films, TV&Commissioned films and VR works. The festival is to spread the true charm of animation genre and to grow as an expert animation film festival in Asia.

2026 Call for Entries
Animated films must have been completed after January 1, 2025 and must not have previously been submitted to BIAF.
Competition Categories:
1) Feature Film: Works over 40 minutes in length
2) Short Film: Works less than 40 minutes in length
3) Graduation Film: Works less than 40 minutes in length
4) TV&Commissioned Film: Works for TV/OTT series and special, commercials, music video and etc.
※ Priority considered for Premiere Condition.
※ Korean Films submitted in category 2, 3 and 4 may compete in Korean Shorts Competition.
※ AI-generated works are also eligible for submission in all categories.

I have always admired a female character who practices bokator, a Khmer martial art. Though the stage in film is very limited as it is a teaser, I wanted to show an alternation of double-sided, ambivalent concepts: being active and being powerless; an organic matter and inorganic matter; and the finiteness and infiniteness of time.
